Korean Language Expert – Transcription & Annotation Lead

Department: Production
Location: Korea, Republic Of

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Korean transcription (speech-to-text) with excellent accuracy and consistency
  • Lead and support linguistic annotation projects, including intent/entity labelling, classification, and LLM data tasks
  • Review, improve, and enforce annotation guidelines and quality standards
  • Conduct QA and validation of annotated datasets
  • Serve as a language and workflow expert during pilot project launches
  • Coordinate with internal project managers and provide feedback on task design and edge cases
  • Mentor and support other Korean annotators as projects scale


Required Qualifications

  • Native fluency in Korean with strong linguistic expertise
  • Proven experience in transcription and annotation for AI or language data projects
  • Familiarity with modern annotation workflows and tools (Label Studio, Prodigy, Appen platforms, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Korean grammar, nuance, and spoken language variation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines
  • Detail oriented and high precision & quality
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English (written + spoken)


Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading annotation teams or serving as a linguistic QA lead
  • Background in NLP, speech recognition, or LLM training datasets
  • Prior work on large-scale data labelling projects within the last 2–3 years
  • Ability to help design annotation schemas and improve processes
